MEPIS - WHAT IS THE DCOP SERVER???

I was recently bought an INSTAL MEPIS LINUX magazine with discs, my laptop partitions were set, and I installed, however, when I try to log on, I get and error message about the DCOP SERVER.

Ah well... I'll sort it out sometime!
